Hot on the heels of their last collaboration, ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov partner up once again to offer a sneaker replete with inspiration straight from left field. Using the opportunity to create another unique silhouette – a rarity in the world of sneaker collaborations – the Bulgarian designer offers his second iteration of the Sokat silhouette, this time with a symmetrical collar. Taking inspiration from mid-2000s baseball sneakers, an extended tongue and elevated upper partner with mouldings around the eyelets and quarter panel to create a deliberate unevenness; with a webbing effect at the heel reminiscent of the JY600 Dan Gable Ultimate wrestling sneaker from the ASICS archives.

All sat atop a comfortable Gel-Quantum Infinity™ 360-degree midsole, this athletic-minded pair is finished in Kostadinov’s darker AW19 palette and contrasted by brighter hits to the lower eyelets and ASICS spiral logo, staying true to the designer’s vision and completing the sleek aesthetic.
