In 1998, Nike introduced its Tuned Air technology in the form of the Air Max Plus: a bold, technical sneaker that perfectly captured the zeitgeist at the time. The sneaker was bold not just in terms of its design codes, but also its colourways, epitomising the unapologetic sensibility Nike had created with its Air Max line.
With the latest women’s version, however, the Swoosh takes a much more muted approach, reworking the sneaker in a refined palette of white and beige. The cutting-edge visuals are as present as ever, too, thanks to its wavy, rippling uppers — famously inspired by Floridian sunsets — and its Tuned Air-cushioned sole.
The Women's Nike Air Max Plus "Sanddrift" will launch via END. Launches on the the 16th May.
