A label’s aesthetic can often be heavily influenced by the city it was founded in. In the case of Awake NY, that’s definitely true — the Big Apple is referenced in its name, for starters, but it extends way beyond that: the city’s culture, style and sensibility are perfectly captured by the clothing Angelo Baque creates.
And for AW21, that relaxed, yet sartorial, approach to streetwear continues, with a load of bold patterns and graphics thrown in for good measure.
Classic pieces like cardigans, knitwear and polo shirts are elevated using relaxed shapes and bold patterns, reflecting the playful aesthetic that’s at the core of the label.
