END. X SALOMON XT-6 "PORCINI"

Following on from August’s “Truffle” collaboration, END. and Salomon reunite to continue their foraging journey with “Porcini”, this time around heading out into the wilderness in the search for another member of the fungi kingdom: porcini mushrooms. Just like the first chapter in the foraging story, Salomon’s XT-6 is brought back under the spotlight, transformed to imitate the distinctive appearance of porcini mushrooms.  

Porcini mushrooms, much like truffles, are harvested through foraging in the wild, known for their symbiotic relationship with the roots of Birch, Beech, Oak, Pine, Spruce and Fir trees. The porcini mushroom is native to both Europe and North America, where it has been foraged and enjoyed as far back as Roman times. It now represents a highly regarded component in the culinary world, renowned for its use in Italian and French cooking with its rich, earthy flavour and meaty texture.  

Celebrating that, Salomon’s XT-6 is given a thorough makeover to imitate the famous mushroom, its orange and brown colourway inspired by the unique hues characteristic to the porcini. Much like the “Truffle” iteration of the XT-6, the “Porcini” features mushroom-inspired patterning worked into its insole, combined with the logos of both Salomon and END. to drive home the bespoke and collaborative look. 

The END. x Salomon XT-6 “Porcini” will launch via END. Launches on the 20th of October.
