CultureWHAT HAPPENED @ THE ARC’TERYX REBIRD WORKSHOP IN END. MILANO
22 November 2024Partnering with the Canadian outdoor experts, END. and Arc’Teryx hosted a ReBird workshop at END.’s Milano flagship.
Following on from last year’s upcycling workshop at END. Manchester, the British retailer looked to team up with Arc’Teryx to bring their ReBird project to END. Milano. Enlisting Impact Studio’s Leonardo Plebani, END. and the Canadian outdoor experts hosted two workshop sessions offering attendees the opportunity to transform previously discarded Arc’Teryx gear into bespoke bucket hats.
An integral part of Arc’Teryx’s process, the ReBird initiative operates under the mantra “Waste Less. By Design.” Ensuring that old products aren’t sent to landfill, ReBird proposes a circular approach, repairing, reselling and upcycling to reduce waste. Expertly guiding guests through the upcycling process as a part of Arc’Teryx’s ReBird program, Leonardo showcased each step in building a new product, from fabric selection to pattern cutting and sewing.
With each attendee leaving END.’s Milano store on Via dei Mercanti with a new bucket hat and fresh set of upcycling skills, the workshop celebrated the art of reusing old products to create something new.
