One of the first brands to find its home under the Nepenthes umbrella, Keizo Shimizu’s label Needles menswear debuted in 1997, and remains one of the most renowned Japanese labels to this day.

The first piece - a loose-fitting suit jacket inspired by one worn by Miles Davies in the ‘60s - set the standard of what was to come. And ultimately, that would be its unique marriage of casual Americana aesthetics and traditional Japanese tailoring features that’s made Needles for men a globally recognised name.
