adidas Consortium returns with a sleek iteration of the NMD_R1, embroidered with a slew of Asian-influenced iconography. Designed in partnership with Japanese streetwear label NEIGHBORHOOD and Taiwanese sneaker store INVINCIBLE, this latest release draws reference from the NEIGHBORHOOD archive, remixed with forward-thinking flavour.

Lifting the embroidered tiger motif from classic NEIGHBORHOOD souvenir jackets, the partnership applied the premium treatment as a key design feature on the NMD. Symbolising motivation and spirit, the tiger pushes the wearer to push the limits of their endurance. Masterfully counterbalanced by the Kanji character for 'Good Fortune' on the opposite heel, the sneaker infuses Asian culture and mythology into this street-ready sneaker.
