Michigan's streetwear stalwarts take over END.'s flagship stores.
To mark the launch of the Autumn/Winter 2017 collection in-store and online, Michigan streetwear outfit Carhartt WIP has taken over END.'s flagship stores in Newcastle and Glasgow with a high spirited window display.
Founded in 1889 by Hamilton Carhartt in Detroit, Carhartt began to make its mark in the workwear arena, producing overalls and a range of other work gear from durable denim and canvas; textiles which soon became part of the brand's signature utility style.
A paragon of reinvention, Carhartt is now heavily associated with European skate scene - an affiliation reflected in the brand's daring graphics which feature across the brand's output and for a limited time as the statement visuals at END.'s destination flagships.
Evolving from the brand’s long and rich heritage, Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) was established in 1994 as a channel through which the brand could distribute select pieces outwith the US. Quickly finding it's niche among fans of classic American workwear, heritage design, and those with an affinity for a rugged and utility focused streetwear aesthetic, Carhartt WIP remains a prominent name on the international streetwear scene.
A well-considered exploration of quality, durability, and comfort sat at the very core of the Carhartt brand and these values remain imbued in each new collection today.
Carhartt WIP AW17 is now available at END.
