4 July 2019Paying tribute to the New Orleans institution, Saucony and Sneaker Politics celebrate the Café du Monde with this beignet inspired Shadow 5000.
Galvanised into collaboration by the world famous New Orleans open-air coffee shop, Café du Monde, Saucony and Louisiana sneaker retailer, Sneaker Politics, have joined forces to serve up a portion of beignet-inspired sneaker style. Presenting their Shadow 5000 silhouette, the two brands transform the classic model with a slice of New Orleans history, the 1862 city staple sweet treat.
Co-branded for a premium feel, the sneaker captures the essence of the historic coffee spot. Cast in brown suede leather and mesh and peppered with a light dusting of white icing, the style emulates the look of Café du Monde's world renowned beignets. Complete with a pop of vibrant green to the heel and outsole to pay respect to the colours of the Café's patio awning, the shoebox is presented as an interpretation of the infamous beignet mix.
