The latest drop from Gosha Rubchinskiy x adidas is the second instalment of the ongoing collaboration between two of the most defining forces in contemporary streetwear.

Partly in celebration of Russia's successful bid for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, retro fabrics and classic athletic silhouettes are given a fashion-forward remix.

Imbued with Gosha's inimitable post-soviet streetwear edge, the collection blends elements from the pitch and the terrace and repurposes them for the man on the street.

The collection initially unveiled in Kaliningrad back in January, introduced new sartorial elements to Gosha's traditionally street-only sensibility - an exciting change of pace for the cult-designer.

Presented at the Mariner's House of Culture, and drawing a selection of top editors and buyers far off the traditional New York - London - Milan - Paris fashion circuit, the collection was a portrait of contemporary Russia through the eyes of youth.

The collection saw a range of street cast adolescents and young men walk the runway to a collaborative soundtrack from Buttechno. Featuring soliloquized voice-overs of the models' interpretation of contemporary Russia and their plans for the future, each model walked the runway to the sound of their own voice creating an intimate insight into Russia's contemporary youth mentality.
