British designer Nigel Cabourn teams up with Timex for the third time, creating a unique version of the 36mm MK1 Field Watch that pays tribute to the WWII RAF crews that were ejected from their aircraft and into the cold Atlantic Ocean. A no-frills tool watch, it leans heavily on both collaborators’ military undertones and favours functionality over all else. The stainless steel case houses a bright yellow dial – a reference to the lifejackets worn by the pilots plunged into the sea – and is secured to the wrist with either the ventile slip-thru strap – a further military reference and a near-permanent feature in Cabourn’s lineup – or a luxe leather variant.
