Italian powerhouse Gucci looks to its archival ‘70s designs for inspiration for these slip on sandals. These espadrilles are an evolution of the style first worn by farmers in the Pyrenees mountains centuries ago, named after the Catalan word ‘espardenya’ which alludes to the esparto grass of their original construction. Gucci’s espadrilles feature a maximalist cut-out double G motif - a hallmark of the house.
