Maharishi unveil atmospheric AW17 Video Lookbook

Taking inspiration from 18th-century Japan.

Following the success of London-based label Maharishi's recent 'White Tiger' capsule, the brand has unveiled an atmospheric new lookbook for its much-anticipated AW17 collection.

International to its core, Maharishi has drawn upon a geographical and cultural expanse of references for an outerwear-heavy collection full of statement pieces for harsh climates. Ranging from 18th-century Japan to Vietnam in the 1960s, Maharishi explores the cultures and traditional dress of indigenous groups such as the Ainu in Hokkaido and the Montagnards of the Vietnamese Central Highlands, celebrated through use of traditional silhouettes such as ponchos and kimonos, and a slew of Japanese-inspired graphic motifs.

Staying true to its roots, Maharishi's AW17 collection also features the brand's seasonal camouflage iteration dubbed ' DPM: British Haze'. Arriving in four military-ops inspired colourways: woodland, desert, night, and skyline ghost, this season's camo references spray paint and graffiti culture.

Maharishi AW17 is coming soon to END.
