With both Clarks Originals and Carhartt WIP owing much of their streetwear success to ‘90s hip-hop, this partnership is a match straight from the street corners of Brooklyn. Opting to use the iconic Wallabee as the base, this iteration receives subtle alterations without losing any of the original identity that made the shoe such a hit. Finished in rich brown suede and cut above the ankle, the moccasin style wears rugged duck canvas – reminiscent of the Carhartt’s chore coats – to the collar alongside workwear-inspired metal eyelets, with a woven brand tab rounding off the changes. Underfoot, a timeless crepe sole continues to provide all-day comfort, while two fobs – each wearing a collaborator’s branding – hang from the laces in traditional style to complete the collaborative look with a touch of authenticity.
