The only streets you’ll want to explore this season are the ones leading to Neighborhood’s womenswear, where the Japanese label fine-tunes its rock’n’roll energy into creating streetwear for women with a luxurious, urban twist. Headed up by Mr. Shinsuke Takizawa, the Tokyo-based label first started out in the streets of Harajuku, where Takizawa and his friends formed a cult community within the neighbourhood based on a shared, deep-rooted love of Western subcultures, and from that point on, the Neighborhood brand was born.
Since being kicked out of fashion school as a 19-year-old, Shinsuke Takizawa’s Neighborhood clothing label has grown to unimaginable heights, all from bridging the gap between streetwear and luxury fashion, becoming a huge player in what is now known as the "Ura-Hara" movement, as well as being a firm-favourite amongst streetwear enthusiasts worldwide. Falling in love with British punk bands, Neighborhood looked towards London’s fashion and music scenes for inspiration, drawing on elements of biker, military, and rock ’n’ roll subcultures, resulting in the distinct aesthetic that we know and love today.

Encouraging women to develop their own personal style, the Neighborhood women’s range showcases the brand’s expertise in creating pre-distressed, logo-driven, and work-wear-inspired designs. From jungle hats to casual jackets, Western rebellion married with traditional Japanese craftsmanship is ever present, cemented with the motto "Crafted with Pride." The iconic tagline is often found woven, printed, or embedded into the label’s designs - some might say it’s a coveted brand signifier.
Everything is crafted with pride, so you can wear it with pride.
