When Palm Angels founder Francesco Ragazzi got the call to collaborate with Moncler Genius, it was a dream come true; the designer began his career at the luxury outdoor brand, climbing the ranks to artistic director before setting out on his own. Here, he is careful to reference Moncler’s careful attention to detail, opting for stellar Italian craftsmanship – but make no doubt about it, he brings his signature strand of punk-rock streetstyle to proceedings. Deconstructing a white cotton hoody, he pulls exposed outseams inwards and flanks the hood with metal skulls in lieu of drawstrings. A print of a punk in silhouette marks the front, along with mock blood spatters and red velveteen branding. To the back, the words MIND CONTROL are flanked with the Moncler motif, a comment on society and a call to subvert the norm.
