Bleu de Paname champions traditional French manufacturing, so the brand’s ongoing collaboration with Paraboot – a family run Alpine brand that stems back to the early 20th century – makes perfect sense. This pair of hiking boots are based on another French classic, Galabier’s Super Guide, which is no longer made but remains legendary amongst footwear fans. The uppers are impeccably crafted from a mix of rich chestnut suede with a leather heel panel, while the padded throat and tongue are trimmed with chocolate coloured corduroy. Silver hiking eyelets, striped laces and a lug outsole add further authenticity to the aesthetic, not that this pair needs it; they’re crafted in Paraboot’s factory in France just like every other pair since 1908.
