adidas TERREX x White Mountaineering AW18 - Launching 15th December

Having unveiled their latest footwear styles in early summer, adidas TERREX and White Mountaineering build on the success of these sneakers with a new collection of apparel built with universal utility in mind.

Each piece from the AW18 collection was tasked with the ability to stand up to the daily challenges of urban environments and the unpredictability of wilder terrain.

adidas TERREX - a sub-brand established to meet the needs of new urban athletes who strike for innovative design solutions and materials to push them to the outer edges of their own endurance - and White Mountaineering are a match made in athletic heaven, with the fundamental principles of each brand coming together to produce a pioneering expression of athletic-garb.

The apparel offering features three new outerwear pieces, each crafted from high-performance technical fabrics in tonal shades of black. Two distinctive TERREX styles – the TERREX WM CLIMAHEAT DOWN JKT and the TERREX WM FLEECE JKT are given a White Mountaineering overhaul, introducing their signature panelled styling and printed branding in contrast white. The third piece of outerwear takes the form of an entirely new, co-designed style. The TERREX WM 3L JKT features that same angular, panelled design motif, seen here across a thigh-length, hooded silhouette. The jacket is crafted from laminated ripstop fabrics, with bonded seams for added effectiveness in cold and wet weather. The upper-body layering is rounded out with a bonded, long-sleeved top featuring panel design details and oversized co-branding. The rest of the capsule is made up of two pant styles ideal for physical exertion and city-sophistication alike: an update of the TERREX ‘all-season’ pant with numerous pockets and co-branded details; a more relaxed style in the form of the ‘slim’ pant featuring a climbing-style waistband buckle and contrast colour branding.

Two new footwear styles allow for seamless transitions between city streets and less-travelled paths. The TERREX TWO GTX is designed for peak performance in trail-running, rendered here in waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX lining beneath lightweight mesh uppers. Oversized ‘WHITE’ branding brings a bold, contemporary aesthetic to the shoe, along with tonal colour blocking and an angular geometric pattern across the toe, heel cap and eye stay. These eye-catching details also appear on the second pair, an update of the TERREX FAST GTX-SURROUND TERREX Fast. The mid-cut shoe is designed for fast hikes and combines those White Mountaineering signature aesthetics with the functionality of materials such as GORE-TEX® SURROUND®: a highly-breathable, durable form of waterproof protection. The shoe is testament to the slick synthesis of form and function that characterises the entire collaboration.
