Fear of God Athletics, the collaborative partnership between adidas and Jerry Lorenzo, extends the pre-existing spirit and foundation of Fear of God. Since being founded in 2013, Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God has championed a singular approach to design, utilising the codes of sportswear to create refined, eminently wearable clothing.
Fear of God Athletics is rooted in this sensibility, echoing the design pillars that rest beneath the Fear of God name. The Fear of God Athletics Los Angeles Sneaker embodies that, reimagining the iconic L.A. Trainer through Jerry Lorenzo’s luxurious lens. The uppers are crafted using full premium suede and durable ripstop, joined to a wavy rubber sole to nod to the dramatic proportions so often used by Jerry Lorenzo.
The One Basketball, meanwhile, is uniquely positioned at the intersection of fashion and sport. The shoe is crafted using a premium knit upper with a neoprene collar, as well as detailed with an array of technical details — ranging from no-sew TPU film overlays to an ankle bungee with toggle. Its low-profile shape and sculpted, translucent rubber outsole are used for further touches of quintessential Fear of God. Each shoe arrives in neutral sandy tones and is detailed with Fear of God embossing at each heel, achieved through Fear of God’s signature black bar branding.
