Stone Island Shadow Project, designed in collaboration with ultra-technical innovators Acronym, moves the brand's novel designs on even further, to create in their own words "tools to help man relate to the surrounding environment". Every piece falls under one of five function categories that form layers of protection for the wearer. The Rip Stop Down Gilet is a unique new take on the classic gilet, taken from the SI SP collection for AW13. Constructed from a high performance mico-ripstop Nylon cotton blend and stuffed with a genuine down blend that has been treated in order to withstand the rigours of the dying process, it is finished with a removable logo badge and a ribbed collar, cuffs and hem.
