EditorialSTONE ISLAND MARINA SPRING SUMMER ‘24
7 May 2024Stone Island emphasises texture and graphics with its Spring Summer ’24 Marina collection.
Since Stone Island’s inception, the brand has maintained a deep-rooted synergy with the nautical world — a reflection of its late founder and industry visionary, Massimo Osti, who had a deep affinity with maritime exploration. Nowhere is that heritage any clearer than with the brand’s Marina sub collection, with garments imbued with the nautical spirit rooted at Stone Island’s core.
For its Spring/Summer 2024 collection, Stone Island Marina continues down that path of familiarity. The collection, which is shot on the Lagos-born, multi-disciplinary artist Soldier, features a heavy emphasis on raw textures and archival graphic stripes. A boxy-fitting hooded blouson, for instance, is crafted using a lightweight raw linen material, which is coated externally with pigmented resins and then washed to reveal the natural slub of the linen.
Boatneck sweaters further the maritime aesthetics, with airbrush striping and branding which lends an archival aesthetic. Shirting also arrives crafted from the collection’s raw plated material, accented with striped graphics to really drive home the classic look.
STONE ISLAND MARINA AT END.
