Japanese designers’ interest in Americana finds a new home at Neighborhood, where the US’s history of nurturing counterculture is explored. The brand’s collaboration with Boston-hailing Eastpak yields a collection informed by an array of concepts pulled from American culture – militaristic influences, an industrial aesthetic and the DIY nature of punk rock are all platformed, and the result is items such as this army green bum bag. Finished in slick satin nylon, it is trimmed with monochrome tape and offered with an adjustable strap which means it can be worn around the waist or slung cross-body.
