2022 marks 35 years of Nike’s iconic Air Max line, with the range responsible for some of the most coveted and cutting-edge sneakers ever created. That milestone also represents 35 years of the silhouette that marked the beginning of it all: the Air Max 1.
Mixed-Material Uppers
This year, the Swoosh is bringing that fan-favourite silhouette under the spotlight to celebrate the occasion, with the latest iteration being the “Madder Root”.
Air-Cushioned Sole Unit
The sneaker is given a vibrant makeover that’s perfect for transitioning into the warmer months, with shades of pastel blue, pink and green worked into the sneaker’s suede and mesh uppers. The laces, meanwhile, nod to traditional trail aesthetics, with a three-tone arrangement that’s inspired by hiking boots.
