Presenting their latest collection, London-based outfit Maharishi deliver a cutting edge interpolation of their signature aesthetic language. Drawing on vintage military garment design, forward thinking streetwear and technical apparel, "East West Futurists" reflects on the way the year 2020 was imagined back in the '90s, when Hardy Blechman first started the brand.
Detailed with 3M thread for a futuristic twist, Maharishi's signature blend of East and West cultivates a varied offering that bridges the gap between classic military apparel and traditional Japanese garments. Vintage Sukajan-style embroideries are embellished with reflective outlines, transforming heritage imagery into futuristic depictions of cybernetic samurai, alien geishas and cyborg dragons - a dystopian imagining of the brand's recognisable graphics.
