Gosha Rubchinskiy AW18

A first look at the latest collection, presented in Yekaterinburg

Bringing his iconic tour of Russia to a triumphant finish with the third and final collection in this series, Gosha Rubchinskiy debuted his AW18 vision at the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Centre in Yekaterinburg.

More of an interactive spectacle than a traditional fashion show, the street-cast models milled frenetically throughout the museum, absorbing the history of former president Boris Yeltsin's rule of Russia. The final chapter of his Russian trilogy - which opened with AW17 in Kaliningrad before venturing west to St Petersburg for SS18 - Rubchinskiy has once and for all established himself as the godfather of post-soviet streetwear.

Part of the ongoing celebration of Russia's hosting of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Rubchinskiy's now iconic collaboration with sportswear monolith adidas continued this season. Alongside the retro three-stripes cops, the collection was accented by a slew of other high-profile partnerships including Burberry, Levi's, and Dr Martens: a testament to the respect Rubchinskiy's work has garnered from those both inside and outside the industry.

Delivering a perfect distillation of the aesthetic we've come to expect from Gosha, the collection was a globally influenced exploration of Russian-youth style codes, mixed with louche sartorial elements and a tongue-in-cheek homage to early athletic uniforms.

Gosha Rubchinskiy's AW18 collection will launch at END. later this year. For now, check out his SS18 collection.
