Drawing inspiration from the rich history of the Northern Soul scene this season, adidas SPZL deliver a modernised embodiment of classic '70s style.
Born in the North of England, Northern Soul saw working class youths build their own cultural interpretation of American soul music in Wigan and Blackpool. Requesting rare and fast-paced soul records in the dancehalls and clubs, a distinctive and particular style emerged that soon became synonymous with the Northern Soul sub-culture.
This season, adidas SPZL envisage a contemporary take on this story across a range of apparel and footwear, rediscovering long-lost gems from the adidas archive and creating premium editions of essential 3-stripes apparel.
