For SS22, Stone Island Shadow Project investigates menswear archetypes, emphasising fit, material research and utilitarian details.

Stone Island Shadow Project represents an extension of an already-experimental parent label; a line centred around shifting boundaries and delving into the unknown, the cutting edge and the technical.

For Stone Island Shadow Project’s first chapter of its SS22 collection, the line continues to investigate menswear archetypes, placing a strong focus on fit, material research and detail-oriented design.

Chapter 1 is centred around transitional seasons, focusing on materials — blending natural performance textiles with man-made — to allow wearers to cope with whatever the city throws at them, all while balancing this with a relaxed look and feel. The garments themselves represent a combination of two of Stone Island’s biggest focuses — sportswear and utility — which are transformed using a slew of technical materials, ranging from a printed blend of linen and cordura to a linen gauze bonded to glossy polyurethane film.
