With the latest Genius collection from the heritage outerwear label and Palm Angels — Moncler Genius 8 Moncler Palm Angels — Francesco Ragazzi takes a bold, vintage-inspired approach to design.
Francesco Ragazzi’s Palm Angels is underpinned by a distinctive approach to design — one that takes the rebellious styling associated with Southern California and elevates it with a focus on detail, materials and fit.
For the latest Genius installment between the Milanese label and the heritage outerwear brand — Moncler Genius 8 Moncler Palm Angels — Francesco Ragazzi draws inspiration from vintage stores: a place where a combination of different, often disparate elements are mixed together.
Channeling that idea of different, and sometimes contrasting, elements fusing together, Francesco Ragazzi transforms classic pieces with an emphasis on the fine details. There’s a puffer jacket that’s cut from Moncler’s down-filled nylon then overlaid with contrasting suede, as well as an overshirt that’s cut to a longline fit, padded with down and printed with an all-over camo pattern.
To further that approach, co-branded detailing is used throughout the collection, which sees Moncler’s famous rooster reworked in two forms: one transformed with the Milanese label's palm tree logo, the other a winged, terry cloth version.
