In celebration of the Zürich’s 60th anniversary, Birkenstock is giving the iconic sandal a contemporary rework, echoing the design ethos of the original by offering a utilitarian vision of the future. It’s aptly named the Zürich Tech, representing an innovative take on the classic sandal.
The most notable feature comes by way of reworked buckles, eschewing the traditional steel for bolder, ski-boot style fixings that propel the Zürich DNA into the future. The Zürich Tech also features a light and sturdy EVA outsole, combining with Birkenstock’s renowned footbed to deliver the comfort, utility and style synonymous with the Zürich name.
