Teyana Taylor is renowned for not only her ability to seamlessly move between creative outputs, but also her bold and uncompromising approach to fashion. This year, the multihyphenate adds another branch to her impressive résumé, partnering with Air Jordan for the first time to channel her experimental sensibility.
The foundation of the partnership is the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT, dubbed “A Rose From Harlem”, nodding to her New York origins with an experimental take on the “Chicago” colourway. The sneaker features idiosyncratic detailing throughout, the most notable being a duo of transformed Swooshes: one thorn-adorned at the medial side, the other deconstructed and stretching onto the midsole at the lateral. The collaborative theme continues at the tongues, too, with a collaboration-specific Swoosh at one and “TEY” at the other.
