Très Bien and Polar collaborate to create one of the most anticipated skate releases of the season.
Two of Sweden's most revered independent brands have come together to create the perfect summer skate collection.
Imbued with a Scandinavian sensibility, Très Bien x Polar's collaboration was conceived in a pub in the brands' home city of Malmö - setting the low-key tone for the collection.
Developing organically between both parties, the collection is inspired in part by skateboarders Paul Grund and Roman Gonzales and combines Tres Bien's style with Polar's vibes.
Featuring 70s references and artwork from boarder, Dane Brady, the collection will launch on August 15th in selected stores around the world.
The inspiration was to merge some of Très Bien's styles together with our vibes. They are very close anyways, so it all came very naturally
Relevant both on and off the board, the collaboration celebrates the combination of niche lifestyle product with high-end brands becoming increasingly prevalent in recent seasons.
Speaking to GQ, Hannes Hogeman of Très Bien said, “It’s always a bit annoying when a trend in fashion is really big, and maybe skate is a trend in fashion right now...but you know, there are so many brands out there, so many stores, so many different visions and curations. I don’t see this as a problem. I think it’s just nice. We just buy into brands that we feel and like and we never force anything. I think it’s cool that the young consumers growing up today can see the mix of really niche skate brands together with more high-end labels. That was not the case when I grew up.”
