MONCLER X ROC NATION DESIGNED BY JAY-Z

After originally being unveiled almost a year ago in February 2023 at Moncler’s now legendary The Art of Genius event in London, the luxury alpine brand share their collaborative collection with HOV. Dubbed Moncler x Roc Nation Designed by Jay-Z, the limited-edition offering blends the Italian brand’s incomparable DNA with Roc Nation’s cultural gravitas as one of the world’s foremost entertainment companies.

Joining forces with the creative polymath and entertainment industry titan, Jay-Z, pioneering protective mountain outerwear brand Moncler platform Roc Nation through their platform for co-creation, Moncler Genius. Moving beyond the realm of fashion, the Genius line has steadily evolved, merging art, design, entertainment, music, sport and culture, sharing varied points of interest to create a collection and manifesto that fulfils the notion that genius is everywhere and in all things.  

Kick starting their creative collaboration in early 2023 at Moncler’s spectacular event at London Fashion Week, The Art of Genius, Jay-Z and Roc Nation turned the spotlight away from himself, orchestrating a creative exchange that saw attendees use their voice and become the creator, with legendary producer Mike Dean engineering an emotion-centred piece dubbed “The Art of All”. 

Embodying this approach, the Moncler x Roc Nation Designed by Jay-Z collection is conceived of a plethora of modular pieces, akin to samples used to build a cohesive track. Transforming recognisable forms from Moncler’s expansive offering, iconic shapes are imbued with a New York City sensibility and attitude. The results are ultimately gestalt, with puffer jackets embossed with croc print, reversible jackets, overshirts and sweaters exuding an understated and casual luxuriousness.
