Teaming up with Nike for a limited edition collection that pays homage to the vast heritage of the sportswear giant, OFF-WHITE designer Virgil Abloh offers his unique take on 10 footwear icons.
A project moniker now recognised the world over, The Ten : Nike X Virgil Abloh opens with the Air Jordan 1 – a heritage hoops style built for hard court comfort. Stripped back to basics in line with Abloh's open-source approach to design and production, the reconstructed shoe was designed in one session, in what Abloh described as a dream-like state. The finished result sees a cut-and-sewn Swoosh to the side wall, an “Air” printed midsole and the collaborations signature red tie applied to the laces.
The first of Abloh's reconstructed icons is now available for registration on END. Launches.
