Taking inspiration from his recent migration to NYC to take the helm at Calvin Klein, Raf Simons explored themes of nostalgia and new beginnings for AW17.
Highly anticipated as always, Belgian designer Raf Simons continues to push boundaries with his latest offering.
A veteran in his field, a monochromatic palette spliced with flashes of colour saw graphic prints, minimalism, and deconstructed silhouettes walking the runway; sub-cultural references built into the seams, all pulled together with duct tape. No, seriously.
But if luxury duct tape isn’t your thing, no need to worry. The collection explores seeing New York City from a child’s perspective, lending itself to oversized NY slogan knits, collegiate-style crew sweats and varsity jackets reimagined for the youth of tomorrow; minimalist design meets sporty athleticism for AW17.
