Nike and ACRONYM reunite this season, representing a fusion of classic sportswear and Errolson Hugh’s cutting-edge vision.
When it comes to technical innovation, Errolson Hugh’s ACRONYM is all about shifting boundaries, having relentlessly pursued the cutting edge since the label was founded in 1994. That approach is something mirrored by Nike — a mutual interest that has blossomed into a harmonious partnership over the years.
This season, the two come together to mark a first in the Nike and ACRONYM collaborative history: their inaugural apparel collection. For the capsule, Hugh looks to Nike’s archives to form the basis, combining classic styles with his usual hyper-technical vision.
For the collection’s footwear, Hugh casts the iconic Blazer Low through his futuristic lens; the uppers feature laser-cut, ghillie-inspired patterning, while the heels come with removable TPU clips to further the out-there look. With the tracksuits in the collection, Hugh draws inspiration from camouflage, accenting them with the same laser-cut patterning as the footwear. The Woven jacket, meanwhile, comes with a slew of technical details, like the custom shoulder print and reflective underlays, or the diagonal zip that converts into a carrying strap.
