16 September 2022Nike dips into the archives with the latest Air Max 1, borrowing stylistic cues from the “Dirty Denim” AM1.
With Nike’s archives being filled with a long list of coveted and sought-after colourways and collaborations, it’s little surprise that the Swoosh so often looks back to inspire new sneakers.
The latest Air Max 1 is a tribute to an archival rarity, the “Dirty Denim” from 2003, taking on a similar aged aesthetic to its muse sneaker. Suede and denim feature across the sneaker's uppers in shades of washed-out blue, while that iconic, Air Max-cushioned sole unit is rendered in an aged, yellow effect.
