YOUNG THUG - "PUNK"
Young Thug’s second studio album, “Punk”, sees the Atlanta-born rapper take a more reflective approach to lyrics, with storytelling brought to the forefront. Toned-down instrumentals — think acoustic guitars and piano — are combined with deep, thought-out vocals that reflect Thug’s signature trap sound.
JOY CROOKES - "SKIN"
On her debut studio album, “Skin”, Joy Crookes takes us on a personal journey, reflecting on her experiences as a young woman living and growing up in South London. Crookes’ soulful vocals are combined with both delicate and upbeat instrumentals, and cover an array of topics ranging from sociopolitics to identity.
GRAFH & DJ SHAY - "STOP CALLING ART CONTENT"
DJ Shay posthumously joins Grafh on “Stop Calling Art Content”: the Queens-based artist’s sophomore album and a tribute to the late Buffalo legend. The 13-track piece combines old-school hip-hop beats with Grafh’s gritty lyricism, as well as guest appearances from Benny the Butcher, Cyhi the Prynce and 3d Na’tee.
ROSIE LOWE & DUVAL TIMOTHY - "SON"
Rosie Lowe & Duval Timothy partner to create “Son”: a choral-inspired single from their forthcoming namesake album. The track leans in heavily on their shared love of choir music, with atmospheric vocals set against a backdrop of minimal instrumentals and choppy sampling.
FLUXION - "PARALLEL MOVES"
Fluxion follows up from his 2020 release, “Perspective”, with “Parallel Moves”: a lighter, hopeful spin on dub techno’s usual dark tone. The album opens with ambient, pared-back tracks and moves through to an uptempo, deep house-like feel later on, all while maintaining the Greek producer’s distinctive, dub-leaning sound.
