8 May 2023Flying the flag for innovation, END. and KEEN take to the skies to present their inaugural collaboration – the “Kites” Uneek sandal.
Renowned for their technologically forward-thinking approach to footwear design, Portland-based brand KEEN launched the Uneek sandal-sneaker hybrid shoe in 2014. Unconventional in design, the lauded model embodies the brand’s dedication to creating uncompromising footwear with emphasis on original and versatile silhouettes that celebrate the joy of the outdoors.
Drawing inspiration from the age-old pursuit of kite flying and the British coastline, END. and KEEN’s offering combines the spirit of freedom with the Uneek’s unparalleled aesthetics. Cast in a neutral, earthy colour palette, the collaboration pairs Vetiver and Crème Brulee tones to gesture to the kaleidoscope of colours seen in the sandy beaches, dunes and coastal elements of rural Britain.
Constructed with KEEN’s signature recycled PET plastic cord across the uppers, the sandal adapts to fit the foot, providing a malleable support that ensures freedom of movement, support and structure. Detailed further with a PU insole to provide arch support, non-marking rubber outsoles with razor-siped grooves to channel water away, and KEEN’s Eco Anti-Odor for natural odor control, the Uneek sandal-sneaker champions pioneering solutions and functional, aesthetic design.
