Putting premium materials and expert construction methods to the test, adidas Consortium has tapped revered German sneaker boutique, Solebox, to collaborate on elevated iterations of the Quesence and Pureboost DPR silhouettes.
Drawing reference to the interminable skill of Italian leatherworkers, the sneaker pack features one classic and one performance model each given new life through the use of premium textiles and artisanal details.
The Quesence plays on the sneaker's retro panelling, showcasing a slew of luxury leathers and suedes across its uppers. Perforated for both style and breathability, the sneaker is brought up to date with an earthy palette of vegetable-tanned suede and nubuck overlays. Elevating to new levels of luxury, the sneaker features a full leather heel stabiliser. The Quesence is finished with accents of adidas and Solebox branding throughout and sits atop a crisp rubber sole.
The Pureboost DPR features a contemporary knit upper in a sleek two-tone colourway. The softness up front is masterfully counterbalanced with premium nubucks panels across the heel, tongue and eyestays. In line with the concept, sleek vegetable-tanned leather accents feature on the heel and tongue, bringing an earthy contrast to the shoe's tonal finish. With 3-stripe embroidery to the side wall and sitting on a bed of boost, the Pureboost DPR is given a timeless remix.
An understated translation of classic adidas performance into an elevated, fashion-forward context. The resulting sneaker pack is a testament to the beauty of timeless design with flawless execution.
