The latest collaborative effort between Barbour & Wood Wood celebrates Copenhagen based brand Wood Wood’s 15th anniversary, with a capsule collection of covetable, outerwear-focused styles, delivered just in time for AW17. This colourful drop is inspired by the collision of industrial and costal landscapes – common ground shared by these two brands – drawing elements from the practical and durable qualities that Barbour is known for and blending them with the sleek and contemporary design aesthetic that Wood Wood champions.
Inspired by their respective coastal locations, the outerwear in this range boasts a distinctive maritime aesthetic. Named after a lighthouse in Barbour’s native South Shields, this Souter jacket is cut from an iconic waxed cotton and comes lined with a luxe and warming touch of faux fur – just in time for the arrival of cooler climes. A hint of neon orange to the interior mirrors the aesthetic of high-vis apparel often worn on the high seas of the north. Four functional pockets adorn the front and a durable ring pull zipper sheds its cover and is exposed, adding interest to this reliable piece of warming, utilitarian apparel.
