This duo of Wallabee shoes sees both the retailer and the iconic British footwear designer draw influence from the rich heritage of the moccasin toed shoe.
Inspired by traditional moccasin footwear, the Wallabee silhouette has become synonymous with Clarks for its suede uppers and its comfortable and durable crepe rubber outsole. Designed for comfort and durability, this shoe was built to withstand the varied terrain of America.
Presenting their modernised moccasin silhouette in 1964, the Wallabee quickly captured the hearts of a variety of subcultures, from the early Rave scene on to everything from hip-hop to Britpop. Now, the British brand and END. team up to celebrate the origins of the footwear style.
Comprised of a Wallabee and a Wallabee Boot, the Artisan Craft pack sees plush suede and nubuck leather cast in pink and navy-blue respectively, sitting atop of the model’s signature natural crepe rubber outsole. Embellished with cross stitching to the heel and toe for a flourish of artisanal aesthetics, the ankle cuff is detailed further with the bespoke “Artisanal Craft” weave. Complete with Clarks’ signature branded fob to the laces, END. add their own touch with an additional branded fob and a duo of suede leather and beaded tassels for a further interpolation of a traditional footwear style.
The END. x Clarks Originals “Artisan Craft” pack will launch online via END. Launches on 30th May.
