Converse and Milan-based sneaker retailer Slam Jam have combined forces and enlisted internationally renowned Los Angeles artist Cali Thornhill Dewitt to design an limited edition collaborative capsule collection.
Cali Dewitt, probably best known for his work as long-time Kanye West collaborator and credited as the reviver of the goth typeface after his work on Life of Pablo and Justin Bieber's Stadium tour merch, applied his typographic sensibility to a range of Converse apparel and sneakers.
The finished capsule is one part contemporary streetwear and one part political statement, acting as a next-generation call to action for global youth culture. Encouraging the youth of today to leverage the power of social media and digital connectivity to engage with the world around them and have their voices heard, the three-way partnership unveils a collection they've dubbed 'a call for peace, a call for unity, and a call for action.'
The Converse x Slam Jam x Cali Thornhill Dewitt collection will launch at END. on December 5th.
