Celebrating the launch of their collaborative collection in Shoreditch last night, SOPH. and Wild bunch teamed up with END. to offer a party that encapsulated the atmosphere and approach of the capsule.
Tucked away in the bare-brick tunnels of Shoreditch's Kachette, Japanese streetwear imprint SOPH. and legendary Bristol-based sound-system and collective, Wild Bunch, teamed up to offer a party in partnership with END. to launch their collaborative capsule of old-school hip-hop influenced streetwear.
Teeming with industry insiders and influential music talents, the exclusive event celebrated the sound system outfit that was a central pillar of British hip-hop and dance music in the '80s, as a part of SOPH.'s greater 20th anniversary festivities.
As the room began to bustle with excitement and attendees checked out the graffiti inspired capsule and a projection of the Wild Bunch documentary, fuelling up on Japanese beer, booming sub-bass sounds began to emanate from the adjacent tunnel. With a classic dub siren announcing that it was time to take to the dance-floor, the room filled up with excited revellers enjoying the chilled out atmosphere.
With founding members Daddy G and DJ Milo on the decks, SOPH. and Wild Bunch took us through a cornucopia of sounds and rhythms that perfectly enunciated what Wild Bunch represent - an unrivalled blend of styles that truly celebrates the joy of music. Twisting from dub, to hip-hop and culminating with house music, the evening offered a snapshot of the cultures that inspired the collection and reinforcing the breadth of Wild Bunch's passion and SOPH.'s distinctive relationship with Bristol.
The SOPH. x Wild Bunch capsule is available online now at END.
