Renowned Japanese leather artisans Hender Scheme have partnered with Casio’s G-SHOCK watch division to produce an exclusive luxury iteration of the brand’s iconic DW-5600 model.
While the design fundamentals remain the same, the contemporary beige colourways and hidden functionality deliver a minimalist statement for the ages.
Punctuating the collaboration is a hand-sewn vegetable-tanned leather band, the colour achieved through a treatment known as “pit tanning”. In line with Hender Scheme's leather-focussed design ethos, the band will weather and age with use. Also included is a standard resin band to match the watch body.
Other notable functions include a shock-resistant structure, water-proofing to 20 meters, an inbuilt stopwatch, full calendar, and a backlight display with subtle Hender Scheme branding.
