adidas Originals by Hender Scheme SS18 - Register Now on END. Launches

Partnering for one of 2017's standout collaborations, adidas and Hender Scheme return for SS18 to continue their tribute to some of the most iconic silhouettes from the adidas archive.

Founded in 2010 by Ryo Kashiwazaki, Hender Scheme is one of the world's finest purveyors of luxury leather goods. Applying this mastery to a trio of adidas' internationally famed sneakers, each shoe is handmade in Tokyo and imbued with a sense of artisanality to deliver an artefact which ruminates on the relationship between casual aesthetics and traditional footwear craft.

For SS18, the partnership has opted to re-explore the same three silhouettes from last season - the Superstar, Micropacer, and NMD_R1 - with a view to narrowing the gap between Hender Scheme's pure-play leather aesthetic and adidas athletic-led sensibility and graphic DNA.

The Micropacer receives a metallic silver treatment, with the retro space-age uppers given a contemporary twist with red and blue accents. The NMD_R1 is delivered with black uppers, once again accented with blue and red plug details; sharing clear similarity with the first version of the shoe that had sneakerheads queueing around blocks all over the world. The Superstar arrives with a black upper, applied with three distinctive white stripes to the side wall. Alongside these fresh iterations, the partnership has also opted to reissue the original natural tanned leather iterations of these silhouettes from last year's release.
