Stutterheim take inspiration from the traditional rain coats found on the Stockholm archipelago, specifically the equipment used by designer Alexander Stutterheim's grandfather. Inspired by his subtly stylish and endlessly practical rain wear, Alexander set out to recreate his oil cloth coat in a new, contemporary silhouette. Taking inspiration by the surroundings, history and emotional temperament of Sweden itself, Stutterheim seek to embrace Swedish melancholy at its driest.
Based on his grandfather's original design, the Stutterheim Stockholm Raincoat is constructed from rubberised cotton, left unlined and constructed with double welded seams. Secured with a full stud closure, it has a high stance collar, two handwarmer pockets and is finished with an embossed tonal logo.
