But, while the shoe may represent an evolution in the AJ1’s design language, the line’s legendary archives are not forgotten — far from it, in fact, as the two latest iterations showcase.

The first is dubbed the “Patent Red”, and though the patent leather overlays and cut-out Swoosh represent a deviation from the norm, the red, black and white, Bulls-synonymous colour palette is reminiscent of those grails from the Air Jordan archives. The other, the “Purple Patent”, has the same material switch ups and upgraded tech in the sole, though comes with purple, black and white colour blocking to give that OG look we’re all familiar with.
