To mark the release of Air Jordan’s latest model, the LV8D, the line takes inspiration from the iconic “Bred” colourway.
When it comes to Air Jordan, few colourways are iconic as the fan-favourite “Bred”. It all dates back to 1985: the year the Air Jordan 1 released to the public sporting a black and red colourway. That very colour blocking was accompanied by a clever piece of marketing from Nike, one that played up on the banning of Jordan wearing black and red sneakers during his debut season. This only fed into the fanfare of the AJ1: a shoe that was revolutionary in appearance and rebellious in colourway.
It’s the colourway that inspires the latest from Air Jordan, with classic, black and red colour blocking covering the leather uppers of these LV8Ds.
While the colourway remains classic, the same can’t be said for the sole: it’s two-tone, just like always, only it’s oversized to give the shoe a much more progressive and elevated look.
