11 June 2022In celebration of the Air Max 1’s 35th anniversary, Nike draws inspiration from an early-noughties fan favourite with the women’s AM1 “Cobblestone”.
Nike’s Air Max 1 turned 35 this year, and during that time we’ve seen some iconic colourways and makeups grace the sneaker. The latest iteration of the AM1, a women’s version named the “Cobblestone”, nods to one of those iconic releases from the early noughties.
Safari-Patterned Overlays
Its uppers are coloured in subtle, earthy shades of beige, though the most notable feature comes by way of the overlays — they’re covered in a speckled pattern that harks back to the iconic AM1 Atmos “Safari” from 2002.
Mini Swoosh Detailing
Other standout details include a mini Swoosh at the forefoot — furthering the references to the coveted sneaker — as well as a reworked, upscaled version at the heels.
