Descending on The Arch climbing centre in Acton, END. and The North Face presented an evening of climbing, film screenings and more to celebrate that "It's More Than a Jacket".
Celebrating the idea that "It's More Than A Jacket", The North Face and END. teamed up to deliver an evening of climbing themed entertainment at The Arch climbing wall in Acton - a former art deco cinema repurposed to house a state of the art climbing facility for bouldering aficiondos.
To commemorate the launch of The North Face's Trans-Antarctica collection, the legendary outdoor brand tapped the British retailer to pay homage to the brand's rich history and heritage of exploration. Renowned for helming the first ever dogsled expedition across Antarctica in 1990, the label's installation showcased the important legacy of the trip and its core goal of drawing global attention to the continent's endangered environment and reinstate the Antarctic Treaty.
Urging attendees to get involved and try out bouldering, numbered keys were secreted in climbing holds across the venue, offering prizes big and small for a lucky few. Culminating with a programme of films from The North Face archive, "Towers of Tigray", "Unknown Factors", "Peace of History" and "Pobeda" offered an insight into the harsh reality of pushing exploration to the extremes - a symbol of humanity's place within the natural world, and the importance of treating it with respect.
